With all the time at home this weekend, I actually haven't sewn much. Instead I've pottered and tidied and cleaned and cooked and baked. Things that I rarely do. The sewing I have done has been hard work. Lots of unpicking and refitting and re-sewing. So not that much fun, and easily left aside to potter and rest.
I have cleaned up my sewing space though, and that alone feels great. I've put away winter fabric - wool, corduroy, etc - and sorted and refolded the rest of my stash. I've also set aside some pieces that I hope to tackle sooner rather then later and pulled out some spring/summer patterns to look over. Sick of waiting for my husband to hang thread racks, I nicked my husbands drill and stuck them all up myself. I'm not sure I hit any noggins (don't tell him!) but I think they'll stay. Thread isn't too heavy, is it?
Today I am sharing a dress that I finished for Adele quite a few weeks ago. It took ages to get her to model it for me as she doesn't like it. I'm not sure why. I think it's cute. It is a bit big though.
Oliver & S Ice Cream Social dress pattern. I borrowed it from Jen when I borrowed the Sunki pattern. I made this dress with some very mature Anna Maria Horner voile from the stash and I lined the lighter dress fabric with plain white voile, as it was a little too sheer.
